One of the most significant advantages of attending GHEDEX at such a pivotal stage of their academic journey was the exposure to diverse academic disciplines and learning environments. From engineering and medicine to liberal arts and business, students had the opportunity to explore a wide array of fields, igniting their passions and aspirations. Students began to reflect and envision their future paths with clarity and purpose. Beyond academic exploration, GHEDEX also fostered the development of essential life skills such as communication, critical thinking, and decision making. Students navigated through the exhibition with confidence, articulating their interests and aspirations while engaging in constructive dialogue with educators and industry professionals. As they returned to their classrooms and communities, students carried with them a newfound sense of direction and motivation, fueled by the wealth of knowledge and inspiration gained from the exhibition. Grade 11 students have set themselves on a path towards a future filled with endless opportunities and possibilities.
On February 6th, 2024, Grade 11 students from MGPS embarked on a journey of academic exploration and discovery as they participated in the prestigious Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX). Hosted annually by Oman expo, GHEDEX serves as a platform of educational opportunities, attracting students, parents, and educators keen on exploring the vast landscape of higher education options.
For our Grade 11 students, GHEDEX represented a unique opportunity to peek into the world of tertiary education, laying the groundwork for their future academic pursuits. Armed with curiosity and enthusiasm, students navigated through the bustling exhibition halls, where a myriad of universities, colleges, and vocational institutions from around the globe showcased their offerings.
The participation of Grade 11 students in GHEDEX was a hands-on experience aimed at empowering them to make informed decisions about their academic and career pathways. Under the guidance of their teachers and career counselors, students engaged in meaningful conversations with university representatives, asking pertinent questions about programs, admissions, and campus life.
