International Day at MGIS
“We are world citizens and members of the global community”
Students, staff and parents enjoyed a fantastic first ever International Day! With over 20 nationalities in the school, this was a very special day for our students, staff and parents at MGIS. We had different continents represented, showcasing their food, entertainment, culture and facts about different continents and specific countries. The live events performed by the students were brilliant and enjoyed by all, and a perfect way to show off the diversity, tradition and cultures in our school.
The students challenged themselves to think about what to wear on the day, and how it represents their country, region or culture. Everyone appreciated the variety of clothes worn by the students and a great example of their ingenuity and creativity in putting together such fantastic outfits. Of course MGIS International Day would not have been the same without the traditional amazing International Food exhibited at every booth, and I would like to thank all the parents who contributed to the International day by sending over delicacies from all parts of the world.
We appreciate all the organizers of the event for setting up, and for transforming the Atrium for the day. Ms. Julia deserves all the accolades for helping to pull off this event. We appreciate all the teachers who worked behind the scenes and guided the students to unveil a momentous occasion.
