It’s important that we expose our students to Science – there’s no reason not to and every reason To Do It. Children and science go together, their natural curiosity is the heartbeat of Science. After all, every child’s favorite word is…. “But why?”. Sink or float is one of the easiest Science experiments, yet one of the best! It may not seem like some fancy experiment, but it is a great one for teaching young children more about scientific concepts. This activity involved several steps, and it was amazing to see the children internalizing the concept through the experiment. It also intrigued their curiosity to find out which objects will sink and which of them will float. They were astonished to see some objects floating on the water despite being big.
Critical thinking, problem-solving, reasoning and the ability to communicate mathematically are inevitable traits in Kindergarten.
