Math is the soul of everything that exists in nature, take it from an ant to a mountain or to us, humans. The International Day of Mathematics is a global event that celebrates mathematics! It aims to educate people about the essential role of mathematics in science and technology, improve quality of life and contribute to sustainable development. March 14 was chosen as the date for the International Day of Mathematics based on the fact that some countries write it as 3/14 and the mathematical constant Pi is approximately 3.14.
International Math day at MGPS started enthusiastically, full of spirit and excitement with a special assembly. This assembly was fun and involved a discussion about how Math is present in everyday life. We had hands-on activities, Math in Day-to-day life, Math in nature, Skits, and presentations. Throughout the day, students were engaged in an array of activities related to Math.
